The Ledge Retreat is a two-story freshly remodeled and newly furnished contemporary home nestled against a striking granite bluff rising from a Long Island salt marsh.  Guests may either book the entire house (with minimal stays of 3 nights) or choose from two separate guest accommodations on a nightly basis.

The lower level common areas include a fully equipped kitchen, with all new appliances, opening to an adjacent dining room/library. This level also has a living room, sitting area and bathroom.  The sitting area has a gas fireplace and opens to a private deck with patio furniture, gas grill and spectacular views of a granite bluff.

The upper level has two pleasant guest accommodations at opposite ends of the house, assuring added privacy.   One is a spacious suite, with queen bed, private bath, balcony and study.  The study has a futon, which can convert to a twin bed.  The second guest room has a full bed, desk, and futon, which can convert to an additional full bed.  Guests in this room have the exclusive use of an adjacent bathroom.  Each guest room is equipped with a television (with dvd and cable) and has individual heating and cooling controls.

The Ledge Retreat has wireless Internet access and local telephone service.  It has gas hot water baseboard heat for extra warmth and comfort in the winter and central air-conditioning for the rare occasional hot summer day.  The heating and cooling is zoned.   Guest laundry facilities are available in the basement.

Breakfast is self-serve.  In addition to coffee and tea, the refrigerator normally is stocked with fresh juice, English muffins, yogurt, butter, jam and cream. The Innkeeper will stock additional breakfast items on request.

A lovely public park, with sand beach, picnic areas and a fishing pier is within walking distance.

Please note: THIS IS A SMOKE FREE HOUSE.  Also, we love animals but they are not permitted at the Ledge Retreat.
